American Photo Safari has teamed up with the historic Houmas House Plantation and Gardens to offer participants a day of learning, relaxation and beauty that can only be enjoyed in Louisiana.

In addition to the plantation building itself, which contains 16 rooms filled with antiques and Louisiana artwork, Houmas House also encompasses 12 lush acres of gardens, ponds, paths and a majestic live oak alley.

Photography instruction is given throughout the journey to Houmas House, which received the Country Roads Favorite Plantation Award for 2011. You will also learn about the deep-rooted history of the place on an official tour, led by guides in period dress.
